How to cancel an iCloud+ subscription

Cancelling drops you to the free 5GB. If you store more than that, iCloud stops syncing your information, and your backups stop completing.
Apple doesn’t delete what you’ve stored. Syncing starts again when you free up space or buy storage again.
Before you cancel, download or delete anything above 5GB. Photos and device backups are usually what fills it.
How to cancel an iCloud+ subscription
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad.
- Tap your name at the top.
- Tap ‘iCloud’, then tap ‘Manage Account Storage’.
- Tap ‘Downgrade Options’, and enter your Apple Account password if asked.
- Choose the free 5GB plan, then confirm.
- Save the confirmation, or take a screenshot.
