Intent

A short guide at the front tells the person what they have been sent and where to look. It saves them mapping the response themselves.

How to test it

An assessor scores the criterion against a single response:

Score 2
The response includes a short guide to what it contains and how it is arranged.
Score 1
The response lists its contents without saying how they are arranged or where to start.
Score 0
The response includes no guide to itself.

The law it reflects

This criterion reflects Article 12(1) of the UK GDPR. That mapping is a guide, not a legal test: conformance is judged against the criterion, not the article.

See F5 in context in the full standard.
