Intent

A date tells the person when to expect an answer, and when to chase. Without one, they count the month themselves.

How to test it

An assessor scores the criterion against a single response:

Score 2
The acknowledgement gives the date by which the organisation will respond.
Score 1
The acknowledgement states the time limit in general terms, such as one month, without giving a date.
Score 0
The acknowledgement says nothing about when the organisation will respond.
Not applicable
The organisation sent no acknowledgement.

See B5 in context in the full standard.
